Due to a change in plans in order to prioritise time in the Norwegian Fjords we decided to cut a corner. The original plan had been to head up to Tromso and drive down from there. However, the tedium of driving across Finland had really frustrated us. As such we decided to cut the corner across Sweden, as such we did Sweden in a day. With hindsight this was a very good decision, (nothing against Sweden, in fact quite the contrary) but driving down the west coast of Norway proved to be an utter nightmare with horrendous roadworks and rain as such the corner we cut gave us a beautiful taste of Sweden, our best wildlife encounters and placed us well to get down to the Western Fjords.
